10 Awesome Video Games You've Missed In 2020 (So Far)

4. Desperados III

Maneater Game
THQ Nordic

Though its release was unavoidably eclipsed by hitting stores mere days before The Last of Us Part II, Desperados III doesn't merely deliver a return to form for the long-dormant series, but also its best entry to date.

Desperados III does what the best stealth and strategy games do: it gives players myriad options to complete their objectives and lets them loose to figure things out however they like.

Though its reliance on trial-and-error gameplay may put genre newbies off, there is an entrancing quality to the central success/failure loop, inviting players to "save scum" in order to quickly try out different attack strategies.

As such, finally discovering a winning solution proves enormously satisfying, especially as complimented by the game's strong aesthetic presentation and charming cast of characters.

Desperados III presents refreshingly old-school gameplay with a glossy new coat of paint and a wealth of wit alongside it.
