Not even Nintendo is infallible. Rarely will they come along, but hidden among the slew of system-selling Mario, Zelda and Metroid games there lives a collection of absolute stinkers that the Big N would rather you'd forget about. Enter Link's Crossbow Training, a spin-off created purely as a means of pushing the Wii's Zapper peripheral that could have saved itself from ridicule, had it added anything meaningful to the franchise.

Threadbare on narrative, a 'campaign' that lasts barely more than an hour and - the kicker - a central gameplay gimmick that proved to be worse when used alongside its dedicated controller resulted in an overpriced piece of software that wouldn't even last you an afternoon.

But hey, at least it provides actual playable content, which is more that can be said for the following confounding GameCube game...
