10 Bad Video Game Endings That Are Harder To Get Than Good Ones
7. Possessed - Silent Hill 3
The Possessed ending from Silent Hill 3 is notorious among the series fans for being one of the most elaborate and difficult endings in the Silent Hill franchise to achieve. Which is pretty funny considering it's a cutscene where Heather turns into a mindless killing machine and damns herself forever.
The reason why the Possessed ending is so difficult to get is because it requires you to receive enormous amounts of damage and achieve a high kill count in a game about running away from things.
You need to kill over two hundred enemies and accumulate more than one thousand points of damage, which, for approximation, is equal to getting hit by every enemy in the game at least once.
The ending's requirements go against everything you know about survival games, as you have to throw yourself at the monsters instead of fleeing while simultaneously encouraging you to be reckless about fighting them.
The process of acquiring the ending is a wild and highly difficult experience but, again, don't expect a reward for your feat of bravery.
The good ending is reserved for good Heathers who prefer to run rather than go on killing sprees. The rest get their minds possessed by bloodlust.
