In Luigi's Mansion, your goal isn't just to rid your house of all the ghosts. Your second objective is to collect as much money as you can to renovate the old manor into Luigi's dream abode, and how well you do here determines what kind of ending you get.

Building the most expensive mansion is quite an extraordinary feat, but anyone who's played Luigi's Mansion knows that an even greater accomplishment is getting the tent ending for collecting next to no money whatsoever.

And that's because dodging your riches is far more difficult than collecting them.

Yes, because the mansion is brimming with precious things like dollar bills and pearls, it's pretty much impossible to visit every room inside and not come out with at least a little bit of spare change.

You have to really go out of your way not to collect a single thing, especially since the game will make you rustle some money out of furniture to get an important story item.

All in all, if you manage to get a balance of zero and end up with a tent, you've definitely accomplished something amazing. Even if Luigi were to disagree, what with him having no roof over his head...
