10 Beloved PS1 Exclusives That NEED To Come Back
2. Parasite Eve 1/2
Before anyone jumps down my throat: yes, I know there was a sequel of sorts on the PSP. But, two things: it still makes it a Sony exclusive, and really... the PSP doesn't count, much as it tried.
Parasite Eve's two main titles on the PlayStation were a different batch to Resident Evil and Silent Hill. Far removed from laboratory creations or psychological horror, the Eve's followed a story based on human biological and the supernatural evolution of that. Alright, there was some lab involvement, but not enough to call it a Resident Evil knockoff.
Whilst the first game didn't reach Europe, the sequel did, and it more than made up for it. Continuing Aya Brea's efforts to uncover the nature of herself and her connection to the weird, mitochondrial creatures that roam a small town, it expands into something much larger as it progresses.
Tactical combat, magic elements and a rigorous equipment/weapon system made it more than just a third person horror shooter. Given the popularity of Resident Evil's remakes, what better time would it be to open Brea's case files again?
