10 Beloved Video Game Mascots You Totally Forgot

8. Voodoo Vince

Sadly the tagline "Feel his pain" must have translated into this character's sales figures. Voodoo Vince was the star of his own self titled platformer on the original Xbox. The gameplay concept followed all the traditional elements found in a game of this genre but with one key twist, the voodoo powers.

Vince could use various items to cause harm to himself which in turn would cause damage to all the enemies around him, while also being armed with basic hand to hand moves like punches and spin attacks. Critics praised this at the time for being a unique way to interact with the environment and the enemies around you not seen in many games at the time.

Oh, and that soundtrack is just second to none. The games levels are accompanied by an amazing toe tapping Jazz soundtrack provided by composer Steve Kirk.

The game has never seen a sequel, however a remaster was released for the Xbox One and the PC in 2017, which brought a new generation of gamers to Madam Charmaine's voodoo shop and hopefully shed some light on why this game was a true underrated classic.
