10 Best Areas In Dark Souls: Remastered - Ranked
2. Blighttown
Now... I know what you're going to say. How can one of the most notorious levels in the game be the second highest in terms of greatness? Well, that's simply because of the remaster. One of the main reasons Blighttown sucked was because of performance issue. Lag and fps drops made it borderline unplayable.
But, in the remaster, it is one of the best levels. The verticality and tight-knit design make it incredibly unique, with the attention to detail being well worth a thorough examination. Sure, there is a fair share of annoying and close to unfair enemies, but in terms of level design, the area is sound.
The area is one of the best in the remaster as it gives players an opportunity to play a level that they most likely hated, but as it was intended to be experienced. It's still difficult, but this time it's far more fair.
