10 Best Baseball Video Games Of All Time

6. MLB Slugfest: Loaded

Where The Bigs saw certain things and said "Let's dial it back a notch and keep the baseball feel," MLB Slugfest said, "Screw that, we're going to 11."

If you ever wanted to play a baseball game featuring an entire team of Sub-Zeros versus an entire team of Scorpions, which also allowed you to punch each other in the face then look no further. MLB Slugfest: Loaded was the pinnacle of lunacy when it came to baseball games. Here's the thing though, it absolutely worked. It was addicting, a blast to play and was a breath of fresh air in the sports game genre. Yes, Midway certainly had done such a thing before with other sports, notably football, but Slugfest was one of its best additions.

Outside of the fast paced and crazy gameplay, the amount of unlockable content in this game was one of the better parts of the game. You could play as teams consisting of dolphins, eagles, rodeo clowns and more. If you wanted to take these teams to Atlantis to play nine innings well guess what, you could. Throw in the fact that this is the only MLB licensed game to ever earn a T-rating in video game history, and you've got one of the most unique baseball games of all time.

Also while it may have been featured in a previous MLB Slugfest title, who could ever forget the mental metal version of "Take Me Out To The Ballgame."
