10 Best Capcom Games Of The Decade - Ranked
8. Resident Evil Revelations 2
It's telling that as we get into Capcom's best games, Resident Evil crops up multiple times.
For Revelations, the first game was a return to the slower, corridor-crawling entries in the saga, with Jill Valentine once again exploring a nightmarish scenario, one headshot at a time.
When it came time for a sequel we all thought it would be more of the same, but Revelations 2 released episodically, drip-feeding an actually-pretty-intense story across a month-long window, week by week.
This promoted conversation amongst the fandom like nothing else, and as we were now playing as two sets of two characters (Claire Redfield and Moira Burton, or Barry Burton and Natalia Korda), level design encouraged teamwork and local co-op to experience everything together.
I never feel like Revelations 2 gets its due, likely thanks to being labelled a "spin-off" overall. The gunplay here is second only to the newest RE2 remake, and the script, environments, enemies, bonus modes and weapons are all a blast to see through.
Give this one a shot next time you see it available.
