10 Best Capcom Games Of The Decade - Ranked

7. Phoenix Wright: Ace Attorney - Dual Destines

Phoenix Wright Dual Destinies
Capcom

To be honest, the Phoenix Wright games have never managed to truly topple their original trilogy, and though the Miles Edgeworth-fronted Investigations spin-offs are very solid in terms of a more grounded, far less "quirky" tone, I can't recommend one of these without it featuring Phoenix himself.

Brilliantly, for the series' debut on 3DS, art direction shifted from 2D animation to full polygonal models. It was a great way to evolve the franchise, and in-game, seeing all the different suspects you're prosecuting come to life through a mix of OTT crying animations or frustrated eye movements is a delight.

Gameplay itself is mostly centred on buttoning through dialogue and experiencing an enjoyably hilarious visual novel involving ridiculous crime scenes and punchy sound effects in the court room.

You can't go especially wrong with any Phoenix Wright release, but seeing as I can't include the newly remastered trilogy based on the early 2000s titles, Dual Destinies is where it's at.
