To some, Fallout has never been as good as it has been in New Vegas. The second Obsidian title on this list, their stand alone Fallout title turned ten years old as of 2020, and yet still retains all of its power to charm and delight, much as it did back in 2010.
As the Courier, players find themselves caught between the New California Republic, Caesar's Legion, and the people of The Strip as they vie for control over Hoover Dam, and therefore all of the Mojave Wasteland in this entry in the Fallout series.
When it comes to modern Fallout, as opposed to the isometric first two titles in the series, it is something of a consensus amongst the franchise's fans that New Vegas is the finest offering, with particularly excellent writing and role playing opportunities on show throughout.
