10 Best First-Person Shooters Of All Time

8. Half-Life 2

Players question where is Half-Life 3 constantly and for good reason because Half-Life 2 was sensational. The game mixed shooting and puzzle elements seamlessly while creating an interesting world. While graphics age, the gameplay in Half-Life 2 is still fantastic and its mixture of elements lay the groundwork for many action-adventure games today.

Half-Life 2 impressed players in 2004 and it has continued to do so because it is a fun game with plenty of content. The ability to build an arsenal as you play was praised by critics as well as the fact that it was a visual improvement on its predecessor.

On top of that, the intriguing narrative alongside expectation for a sequel that never came has managed to make this game a significant title in gaming lore.

It is unclear whether there will be a Half-Life 3 that manages to impress players once more and make us all reevaluate the credentials of first-person shooters, but there is a very good VR experience in the recently released Half-Life: Alyx.

Whether its Nic Cage films or any game that's easy to pick up it's my kind of entertainment.
