3. Scratches - PC
This is a good old fashioned haunted house story with a top notch story and atmosphere. Also, its easy to run, its not very big and its very cheap. The game was the first argentinian game to ever get a retail release and you can see why, its one of the best adventure games of the last decade and it literally came out of nowhere. You play as a writer that moves into an abandoned house in order to get inspiration for his next novel. Until strange stuff starts happening and it all becomes a fantastic story of death, despair and probable hauntings. Its paced fairly well and the puzzles arent particularly difficult. The game works around pre-rendered spheres which arent very interactive but the sound design is top notch and if you dont get scared during the second night then you probably are a zombie. You can easily get it on Steam or GOG for less than 10 bucks and while its a bit short theres a lot of value in this game. Its also worth mentioning that the developer is working on Asylum, another horror game that just got Kickstarted and Greenlit in Steam Greenlight.
