5. Resident Evil 3

Maid Of Sker
Capcom

After the huge success of the Resident Evil 2 remake, Capcom gave fans exactly what they wanted when they announced their remake of the much loved classic, Resident Evil 3. Using the same engine as the Resident Evil 2 remake, this one sported the same stunning graphics and atmosphere, but it was just so short! Fans weren’t expecting to finish this in a couple of short sittings, but even though it’s a tad short, Resident Evil 3 is still a fantastic game.

Yes there are still zombies and other disgusting monsters all wanting a piece of Jill Valentine, but this game is all about Jill versus Nemesis, and what a battle it is! By the end of the game Jill and the player controlling her are completely spent, Nemesis just won’t stop his quest to take out the last remaining members of “STAAAARRRSS”.

But whilst the boss battles are bombastic, it’s the slower moments of Resident Evil 3 that are its scariest. Running around a maze of putrid corridors being swarmed by Drain Deimos and sharing the sewers with a number of Hunter Gammas are both particularly nightmare inducing.

All that we need now is a Code Veronica remake. After all, that game was supposed to be Resident Evil 3 before some Capcom shenanigans!
