6. Oathkeeper

Oathkeeper is one of the most famous Keyblades in the series, with close links to Sora, Kairi and Roxas. It is often unlocked when events in the game relate to Kairi, such as the reuniting of the two in the first game.

Unlike Oblivion, Oathkeeper represents the light in Sora's heart and the promise that he made to Kairi. The star that acts as the teeth of the Keyblade shines brightly and makes the relatively simple design of the Keyblade really pop against the Heartless.

Oathkeeper is also greatly important to the characters and story of Kingdom Hearts. it represents the connection between Sora and Kairi and appears as the second Keyblade that Roxas wields in his battles against Riku and Axel.

Besides this, Oathkeeper also offers a great balance of magic and power, unlike most other power favouring Keyblades. It isn't the strongest or the best magic based blade, but it does act as a great balance between the two, making it more viable for late game bosses.
