1. The Jedi Temple - Star Wars Episode III: Revenge Of The Sith
Arguably the single most devastating moment in all of Star Wars history is the night where Chancellor Palpatine ordered the execution of Order 66 and sent his new apprentice, Darth Vader, to the Jedi Temple to fully wipe out the remaining members of the Order still on the planet.
Though Revenge of the Sith offers viewers a couple shots, sequences and a brief aftermath courtesy of Yoda and Obi-Wan, the full ins and outs of how Vader and his 501st Legion could eradicate a small army of Jedi was something fans were always fascinated by.
The official game for Episode III thankfully allows players to peek inside the Temple and see the carnage unfold firsthand. Taking control of Vader, players will infiltrate every level of the building and take out a plethora of different Jedi of all ranks and levels.
The level concludes with two boss fights against an apprentice named Serra and then her master, Cin Drallig, The level is pretty similar in design to the ones that come before and after it, however the these two boss fights stand out as being a surprising step up in difficulty. The two Jedi mark a very different challenge to the droids that come before, and the fact that there's no easy way of topping up Vader's health inbetween the duels adds a strategic element unlike any other level in the game.
Dark and tragic, it's the perfect level for one of Star Wars' most crucial moments.
