10 Best Low-Level Monsters In Dungeons & Dragons
5. The Forces Of Nature
So many campaigns start by have you save a village or caravan from bandits, for a change why not help out the forces of nature. As well as offering a change of pace, this will keep your parties Druid happy.
There are so many different creatures you can use when it comes to nature. Take a forest for example perhaps people are turning up dead as they take the path through the woods, probably just bandits. Or maybe it’s the dryads fighting against people encroaching on the forest. Another idea may be the once peaceful forest creatures are now hunting and killing whoever comes through the area. Add a few rampant beasts and twig blights and you’ve got a forest that is being corrupted by an unknown force?
Forces of nature are very prevalent in the World of Dungeons and Dragons, so you can go whichever direction you want with these ideas. Maybe the forest is being corrupted by a nearby witch, use the green hag as a boss and you’ve got quite the fight for low-level characters. Let’s just hope they don’t try to solve the problem by burning the place down.
