10 Best Movement Systems In Gaming History

9. Gravity Rush 2

What other game lets you change gravity whenever you want?

Besides being an extremely unique system, Gravity Rush's main mechanic is also intensely satisfying to use. Flipping gravity to whichever direction you want is as easy as pressing the R1 button, and even though the whole game is built around it it surprisingly never gets old.

Although the original game introduced this mechanic, the sequel improved the controls and camera to the point where the first go seemed like a prototype. Gravity Rush 2's movement is generally a lot better anyway, but it's more noticeable with everything combined.

Gravity Rush 2 also introduced several different types of gravity manipulation powers, including the ability to make Kat heavier or lighter. These two additions are really what sets the sequel apart from the first game, as Kat can go from jumping between buildings to dropping like a stone.

Let's hope that Gravity Rush 2 isn't the last we've seen of this mechanic, or this world.

Jumping through portals, swinging through cities, destroying beings made of darkness and occasionally shooting a gun or two. I also write about games.
