10 Best Movement Systems In Gaming History

8. Rocket League

Rocket League has only become as popular as it is because of its movement, and that's surely a sign that it's damn good.

Can you even imagine Rocket League without the ability to drive up walls, boost around the arena and leap into the air? Take these mechanics away and you just have a pretty boring driving sport game.

It helps that everything feels thoroughly planned out as well. Boosting doesn't last too long which means you have to know when to use it, and the same goes for jumping through the air.

Rocket League is very much 'easy to learn', 'difficult to master' which is a trademark of a good movement system. Anyone can jump in and go for the ball, but skilled players will know that there's a whole lot more to take into consideration.

Take a look at some skill montages if you still don't believe us. Some of the things that people can do is mind-blowing.

Jumping through portals, swinging through cities, destroying beings made of darkness and occasionally shooting a gun or two. I also write about games.
