Killing Floor 2 is a triumph of its genre. As a first-person shooter horror title, you can't ask for much more.

From the main menu, you are invited to pick your starting class and round length. You can choose four, seven or ten, with difficulty adjusting automatically to compensate what experience you are going for.

In terms of classes, there are nine different customisable options. Each different variety specialises in different weaponry and has a small perk tree each for when you progress the attached levelling systems.

There are up to six players for an online lobby alongside a wide variety of enemies (fourteen in total), all using different attacks to try and murder you as brutally as possible.

As the rounds progress tougher enemies will become more and more frequent, such as the Scrake with its chainsaw arm or the Fleshpound whose hands are literal meat grinders.

This all culminates with a showdown against a final boss to give you a really rewarding experience at the end of every game. With an incredible thirty different maps at the time of writing, your games will never get stale.

Blood, gore and viscera will flow as the game kicks into slow-motion so you can enjoy the perfect headshot.

Just awesome.
