8. Mansion (Gears Of War)

Another map that reappears heavily throughout the series, Mansion is a tight-knit map with lots of cover. Essentially set at Adam Fenix's massive estate, the titular mansion itself isn't actually that big, and instead offers a couple of power weapons that always result in a fight, as well as a chokepoint at the front door.

The Longshot sniper rifle at the top of the stairs gives you the perfect vantage point for enemies coming up to the front door in an effort to grab the frags - if you can win it in the inevitable early game skirmish. Outside, the rest of the map involves the sprawling mansion grounds, again full of cover. The Boomshot is situated at the furthest point from the mansion itself, and is again in a good position to put the hurt on people trying to go for the frags.

Most of Mansion's action can be found in between these three power weapons - the spawn points, despite being so close to the battleground, are often empty.
