10 Best Multiplayer Survival Video Games
6. DayZ
Originally started as a mod for military-sim Arma 2, DayZ went on to become its own game entirely, grasping the attention of tens of thousands of players on a monthly basis even nine years after its release.
DayZ can be daunting for new players but once you learn the basics and manage to get your hands on a solid weapon and some supplies it becomes incredibly rewarding. However, once you meet other players within the game world it can be a nerve wracking experience as you try to determine if they are friendly or looking to take all of your gear and cook you up into food. That’s right, the zombies are not the only thing looking to chow down on you as other players can eat the flesh of other players if they are struggling to find food or even if they are feeling particularly sinister.
While DayZ can be an extremely unforgiving experience and lacks some of the fleshed-out features that other games on this list may have, there’s no denying that it’s an incredibly rewarding experience when it all starts to come together.
