7. Mr. Shifty

If you liked Hotline Miami but kept getting mulched by its higher difficulties, play Mr. Shifty; a far easier, more ridiculous, superpowered-take on the same top-down brawler formula.

Where Hotline had you battering foes with all manner of melee weapons until arcs of claret covered the carpets, Shifty himself is essentially Nightcrawler with super strength, meaning each level plays out like that opening scene from X-Men 2: A lot of teleporting around enemies and a lot of misdirection to stay alive.

In this case, each punch lands like the Hulk. You'll send goons flying across levels, straight through bookcases, out of windows or careening into piles of broken crockery. The whole game is ostensibly one mechanic repeated for the duration, but it's fantastic arcady fun, looks supremely cool and gives you an instant "HOLY CRAP I just did that?!" rush every few seconds.
