10 Best Open-World Games Of The 2010s (That AREN'T GTA)
8. Minecraft
The undisputed king of do-what-you-want games really needs no introduction. Minecraft has been popular for a good many years and has recently seen a second renaissance due in part to Internet creators like PewDiePie praising it.
The sheer variety of things to do in perhaps the truest sandbox on this list cannot be overstated, mainly because there's a practically infinite amount of stuff to do. Fight zombies and defend your home? You can do that. Dig straight down and search for rare minerals? Check. Enter into a different dimension to seek out the fabled Endermen? That too.
Or you can just... build, which is the bread and butter of Minecraft but it's absolutely where the game shines. Any structure you construct is just marvellous to do and the little tingle in your loins you get after finishing a particularly complex one is enough to place it on this list.
