2. Infamous
The Infamous series really doesn't get the credit it deserves. In what other game (don't say Prototype) can you experience what it's like to be a superhero, whilst also experiencing some of the best story-telling the genre has to offer? Only in Infamous.
That's exactly what makes each Infamous game so special. From the first title, all the way to Second Son, each game has managed to deliver believable characters in expansive worlds.
Of course, one of the most appealing aspects of Infamous comes from it's focus; superpowers. From Cole's ability to rain lightning down on his enemies to Delsin's use of smoke, neon and video, being a conduit feels great.
Even after Second Son's release, no game has really managed to match Infamous' fast paced and simplistic traversal system. With even more satisfying combat, Infamous certainly delivers on all things gameplay too. It's a true shame that it hasn't quite got the attention that it deserved.
