10 Best Point And Click Video Game Adventures Ever

5. Snatcher

The Adventure:

Before he turned sneaking into something of an art form with the Metal Gear Solid series, Hideo Kojima created a cyberpunk smash with Snatcher.

Originally released on the NEC PC-8801 platform, this first person roamer sees you take control of Gillian Seed, a sleuth on the hunt for the game's creepy robot killers. The aim is to traverse some shiny futuristic cityscapes, hunting for clues and questioning perps via dialogue selection. Throw in some shooting gallery segments and a cool cast of characters - a version of Metal Gear's MK.2 is Seed's sidekick - and your fondness of this game will grow.

Kojima clearly had a lot of fun with this game before becoming tied to Solid Snake's future, and with lots of nods and winks towards sci- fi movies and music of the eighties, it's hard not to get wrapped up in the nostalgia of this title on a retrospective play through.

Puzzling Par Excellence:

Seed takes a wander over to Freddy's apartment only to be embroiled in his first tustle with a snatcher. This is a thrilling end to the first act that requires investigating followed up by some swift action savvy. It's all in the head shot.
