It's always the person you least suspect, isn't it? Well, unless you suspect the gruff man who reluctantly aides you and has a shrouded past, then you'd be bang on the money with this one.

But for some, they weren't expecting the man who assists the One Eyed Wolf, gifting him with a prosthetic Swiss Army arm, and cares for his wounds, to be a secret boss in Sekiro: Shadows Die Twice.

Yet Soulsborne games are renowned for having some extra lore tied in with secret bosses, and this is no different. For most of the game, the Sculptor is pretty placid, yet shrouded in mystery. It's only as you progress that you learn that he was once like you, but gave up the shinobi life before it consumed him.

This time though, his hatred and bloodlust has gotten the better of him, transforming him into the wrathful Demon of Hatred. Perhaps carving all those Buddhas did little to calm him, and his rage took over.

He's no mean feat to kill though, yet killing him is probably a cruel kindness in itself.
