Rockstar's certainly got a thing for putting their players up against serial killers as Red Dead Redemption 2 proves with the mission American Dreams. Much like the similar named mission from the first game, American Appetites, you're tasked with finding three missing victims.

In the case of the sequel they're headless corpses that have been strung up to highlight their butchery at the hands of an unknown assailant. But after finding maps tucked into their heads you can not only find out who the assailant is - but hell, you can even join his victims if you're not quick enough.

Lowry sneaks up behind you after you discover his lair and he knocks you a little senseless. Wait too long to hit him in the face with the skull of one of his earlier victims and you'll get treated a scene where you're tortured to death. If you stop him, though, you get to take him captive and turn him over to the Sheriff to collect a bounty.

At that point, of course, there's a hiccup in the plan - at his first opportunity he attacks the Sheriff. You've got to finish him off to get yourself that sweet, sweet bounty.
