10 Best Serial Killers In Open World Games

Dragon Age II's Hawke gets two chances to deal with serial killers in their outing as protagonist. Arguably the lesser of the two is during the Magistrate's Orders quest where a Magistrate, Vanard, will task Hawke with capturing a murderer alive.

Only after arriving where the murderer is holed up will they learn the killer is Vanard's son, Kelder, who has been killing elven children for years. When confronted he admits that he's sick in the head and can't stop himself; the elven children are just 'too beautiful' to live and he begs the player to kill him.

Hawke's other run-in with a serial killer is Quentin, the charismatic blood mage, who woos Hawke's mother, Leandra. Unfortunately for the player, they are too late to realize that Quentin is a murderer, and that Leandra has already been taken by the crazed mage and mutilated. Quentin lost his mind when his wife died and he's been piecing a new version of her together with parts from other women - Leandra is the latest piece. Hawke can't save their mother, but there's a touching scene that plays out between mother and child after you kill Quentin to avenge her.
