10 Best Set Pieces In Uncharted History

4. Plane Crash (Uncharted 3)

Easily the most over the top out of all of the set pieces in Uncharted 3, the plane crash is still one of the highlights of the game, no matter how crazy it may be.

Although the plane crash suffers from the same sort of problems as the sinking boat, the scenario at least has a purpose. If you’re looking for a deeper sense of involvement and story within this scene, you likely won’t find it; the plane crash is silly, chaotic and jaw-dropping, and that’s really all it needs to be.

Stretching Nate’s luck to breaking point, he flies out of a crumbling plane only to just reach a floating crate in mid-air, and it's still one of the most suspenseful moments in the series. The events leading up to the crash are as entertaining as the crash itself, with Nate having to sneak his way through an airport, catch up to the plane and then finally fight his way on before it finally explodes. It doesn’t make too much sense, but that’s not really the point of Uncharted.

There were almost definitely less anarchic ways of getting Nathan Drake into the desert, but where’s the fun in that?
