10 Best Shotguns In Gaming History - Ranked

6. Boneduster (Bulletstorm)

Resident Evil 4 shotgun kick
People Can Fly

It's amazing what good PR can do, and likewise, it's equally amazing what truly bad PR can do. For instance, it can convince all of America not to buy Bulletstorm - despite it having the boneduster.

For those not in the know, the boneduster is one of the most brutal shotguns on this list, and in gaming in general. A quad-barreled shotgun that - when used at close range - can blast away entire halves of enemies bodies. And since this is People Can Fly, you get points based on which half you destroy. And yes, you can choose to just unload all four shots from all four barrels at once, if you just want to reduce one poor silly mook to a greasy smear on the floor.

No one makes FPS games like People Can Fly, because no one can make a gun like People Can Fly. The main drawback is, of course, the lacking range. It's only fair, since if this had the range of the Grall Spike Thrower, it would render all other weapons in this game pointless. But that severely lacking range does knock it down a few spots.
