Mass Effect 3 was, and still is, a divisive game - to say the absolute least - but there are a few things that people begrudgingly agree was actually pretty good. For all the issues with the ending, the rest of the story is generally agreed to be awesome, and the gameplay and guns were better than they had ever been.

Simply put, it's a charge up shotgun, that you can fire for longer range the longer you charge it. You're probably wondering how this is accomplished with simple buckshot pellets. Which is where I inform you that this is a Krogan weapon, and if any Krogan tried fighting with pellets, they'd be laughed off of the battlefield by his buds immediately.

No, friends, this shotgun shoots a bundle of super deadly metal spikes, whose velocity and range depends on your charge up time. So if you want to prove yourself the tryhardiest of all the tryhards, you can in fact use a shotgun to kill a sniper in this game.
