10 Best Spider-Man Video Games
5. Spider-Man: Shattered Dimensions

Onto the game that cemented Beenox as a great Spidey developer out of nowhere, Shattered Dimensions came three years after the disastrous Spider-Man 3 (both movie and game). Electing to forgo the freeform exploration we'd see in the last two movie tie-ins, the writers dove far deeper into Spidey's ongoing lore instead.
This produced a fans' wet dream of Spidey-based content, giving us four protagonists all with different gameplay styles and aesthetics. 616 Spidey could fight Kraven in an inky comic book look, Spider-Man 2099 would introduce his respective timeline and some ace freefall/flight sections, Spider-Man Noir tackled foes with stealth and cunning, and Ultimate Spider-Man came with the symbiote suit, mashing foes into the ground.
It was a genius way to just have fun with a character's narrative tapestry so often held back by movie tie-in demands or the 'need' to ape specific genres. Shattered Dimensions was mostly a third-person brawler, but when its roster of villains, cameos, Spidey abilities and time periods was so vast, there's still nothing quite like it.
