6. Jolee Bindo - Star Wars: Knights Of The Old Republic

Best Star Wars Game Characters

This witty, troubled Jedi Order dropout is arguably the first historical example of the rare Grey Jedi, a neutral Force user who does not conform to the dark side.

Going into exile shortly before his planned Jedi knighthood, Bindo went against the expected vow of celibacy among the Jedi by marrying Nayama, a fellow Force-sensitive rogue. In a harsh strike of tragedy, however, Bindo was left heartbroken and alone when his wife made the switch to the dark side.

Now neither a Jedi nor a happily married man, Bindo gradually slumps into becoming the eccentric, lonesome figure players meet in Star Wars: Knights of the Old Republic. Haunted by his failure to prevent his partner from slaying multiple Jedi, his arc here paints him in a relatively sad light.

Serving as a colourful, powerful potential companion to Revan, Bindo's snappy dialogue and use of Jedi mind tricks make him among the most colourful supporting characters in Knights of the Old Republic. His emotionally driven approach to the Force, coupled with his moral neutrality makes him a curious contrast to Revan, who serves as a dual light and dark figure over the course of the game.

Overall, Bindo is yet another fine example of KOTOR's stellar writing and character development.
