BioWare's masterful RPG remains the greatest Star Wars game of all time, and one well worth seeking out if you can play it (and also even if you know the big reveal).

It's actually quite difficult to overstate the significance of the first KOTOR. Not only did it provide gaming with one of its greatest RPGs, it also changed the Star Wars mythos on a fundamental level. The Old Republic era may no longer be canon in terms of how it was depicted in these games, but there's a reason why newer Star Wars literature and media has taken so much inspiration from them, and indeed looks set to revisit them in the future.

Revan, Malak, Bastilla Shan and HK-47 are all icons of the galaxy far, far away, even close to 20 years from the first game's release. That's a testament to just how brilliant KOTOR's story was, never mind the compelling turn-based combat system, dialogue trees and other gameplay opportunities in the title.

So... how about it EA? Fancy giving us that remaster?
