10 Best Super Mario Fan Theories That Explain Everything

He may be the most popular video game character of all time but make no mistake, Mario is a killer. He has slain countless Goombas, Koopa Troopas, and Buzzy Beetles throughout his lifetime. No one is going to debate that.

But Mario hasn't just killed thousands of baddies; he's murdered innocents too. At first, you'll think, "Surely not! Mario is a true hero (who happened to kill millions of defenceless Goombas").

But according to the instruction manual of the original game, there's some truth to this claim. In Super Mario Bros., Bowser kidnapped Princess Peach, forcing Mario to traverse through the Mushroom Kingdom to rescue her.

Now, this information is common knowledge to all gamers. But even die-hard Mario fans may not know that Bowser used his sorcery to transform all the Toads of the kingdom into Brick Blocks.

Now, I don't know how many blocks Mario bashes in the first game alone but it's at least a few hundred. It's uncertain whether Mario knows the kingdom's inhabitants have been turned into blocks (although he's probably wondering where everybody is). If this part of the story is canon, Mario has taken more innocent lives than I dare count.
