You and your players are all residents of the city nation of Icarus. The city is at the height of its influence, and they’ve decided to build a monument to their power. This is the start of the society’s downfall. Similarly, to 10 Candles this is a rather fatalistic game. The great nation of Icarus will fall, it is only a question of when. This game works without a game master. Each player will be part of the collaborative story, with them all representing a pillar of the society. This could vary anywhere from the king, to a simple artist. Each of these roles have their strengths, weaknesses, and motives. A mayor may seem powerful at first, but society is truly run by the people in it.
As these members of the society impact the city of Icarus, players will stack dice. This represents the progress of the previously mentioned monument. When the dice tower falls, so does the society. You will be left as a group to answer questions on why this happened and what happened after the fall.
