10 Best Teen Horror Video Games

6. Friday The 13th: The Game

A slasher icon who made his bloody mark on cinema history ever since he first appeared in Friday The 13th: Part 2, the hockey mask-wearing killer that is Jason Voorhees has since went on to star in numerous other films (including spin-off Freddy Vs Jason) and some video games, too.

While the notoriously awful NES tie-in game did little to capture the teen horror slashers this film pioneered, players finally got the video game experience they were waiting for when Friday The 13th: The Game hit platforms in 2017.

Developed by IllFonic, the game is a fun (albeit rather buggy) asymmetrical multiplayer where seven players control different camp counsellors while one lucky player gets to play as Jason. The goal of the game is what you’d expect: the counsellors must find a way to escape the camp or survive the night (either by repairing a car or a boat, calling the police, or outlasting a timer) whilst Jason has to hunt and kill the not-so-happy campers before they can complete their goal.

Though playing as Jason is the definite highlight here, the game has enough depth and love for the series to make one more visit to Camp Crystal Lake worthwhile.
