How can the ability to go invisible not be useful? This is a 2nd level illusion spell that can be cast by Bard, Sorcerers, Warlocks, and Wizards. As this takes a 2nd level spell slot to cast, it takes a bit more of an investment than the previous entries on the list, you are becoming invisible after all.

The most obvious way to use this spell is to infiltrate a protected area, whether that be an enemy camp or the house of a rich noble. People often dismiss the spell though as you can’t attack or cast another spell without dismissing the invisibility, it doesn’t say anything about using items, though.

The description states that anything the person is wearing or carrying when the spell is cast on them also becomes invisible. That means that if you were holding a vial of poison for the camps stew pot that would also become invisible. Trying to freak out a group of people in an old house, throw some pictures around and pretend its haunted. Feel a bit poor, pop into a shop and help yourself to the contents of the till. Whatever you do, though, make sure your out of the restricted area before the spell wears off.
