After the somewhat lukewarm response to Dragon Age II, BioWare had a lot of work ahead of them if they wanted to steer the series back on course. And with Inquisition, not only did they succeed in righting the wrongs of Dragon Age 2, but managed to turn in one of the most spectacular games of the decade. Inquisition is a perfectly executed celebration of RPG's, done the BioWare way with an incredible amount of player choices to be made throughout the campaign. You'll weigh each choice with a heavy sense of duty, feeling that old BioWare magic from Knights of the Old Republic. The choices you make are often difficult, allowing you to stew in fear as you wonder what consequence this might have down the road. In addition to the incredible writing, Inquisition also offers up some outstanding in-game fun to be had. The tactical power available to you is fantastic, allowing you to gain a much more complete eye over the battlefield. It's a startling rush of power as you feel the level of dominance you can have in battle. And depending on which class you've chosen, you can watch with glee as you see your warrior evolve into a surefire legend. The power fantasy of the RPG is part of what makes the genre so much fun, and BioWare took Inquisition into a whole new level in that respect. It's raw, purely powerful and fun, which allows it to take the crown as 2014's best RPG. But now it's your turn, so hit that comment section and let us know which RPG stole your heart in 2014.
