Mega Man is definitely the most "superhero"-looking character on this list. He also has the most traditional superhero back story - he was created by a scientist in order to save the world from evil robots. As Capcom's mascot, it is understandable that the company does their utmost to maintain his image as the perfect hero. He certainly isn't an overpowered creature like Dante or Kratos, or a morally ambiguous figure like Harman Smith or Raziel. Despite his name, Mega Man actually has the appearance of a fairly young boy (albeit a robot one). The childhood innocence of his image does little to hinder his reputation as being intrinsically a good character. Throughout each Mega Man game, the character is steadfast in his belief in the need for world peace, and he is entirely just in his actions. It is rare to find a character as unambiguous as Mega Man. His powerful weapon, a gun where his arm should be, is simple but effective. Blowing holes in hordes of deadly robots using Mega Man's fully primed blaster is one of the most satisfying gaming experiences of all time, and the little robotic hero absolutely merits his high placing on this list.
