There is a reason Create A Superstar is a feature in every modern Wrestling simulator and the reason is simple: There is no better fantasy character than yourself! As facial scan technology has improved it has become easier than ever to visualize yourself at WrestleMania. Whilst being a moment imagined by wrestling fans for generations, it was WWF WrestleMania Challenge (1990) that first allowed players to pit themselves against their favourite superstars on screen.

In recent times the SmackDown! franchise gave us modes that focused purely on creations and made these a fundamental part of each offering. The most recent run of 2K games now offers players the chance to upload and share these creations with the rest of the world - imagination on a global scale. But how would you fare in reality ? Well, that is up to you ! There are plenty of gamers on the current roster, some of whom have made this known - Xavier Woods hosts Up Up Down Down on the WWE network and TJ Perkins can't cut a promo without using retro game talk (plus that catchy Nintendo-esk entrance music).

The reality is not many make it to the big leagues, the promotion associated to your local wrestling school will be where you can expect to ply your trade should you be dedicated enough to make the transition from game creation to real life iteration. But with commitment maybe the greatest video game wrestler can come to life, and maybe it's you!
