10 Best Video Games Based On Movies

4. Die Hard Trilogy

The Die Hard Trilogy pack is quite possibly one of the strangest video game tie-ins I've ever seen. Not because of its content which does look to adapt the key elements of each film and boil them down to their base elements, but because of the weird timing of its release.

As a trilogy, you'd expect this to at least be released alongside the third film Die Hard With A Vengeance, yet this collection pack dropped a full year after this release, quite possibly when the series was at the coldest point of interest. Still, the oddity of its schedule does match the insanity of its offerings, as the three games on this disc are truly something that needs to be witnessed first hand.

What you get, in essence, is 2 mediocre experiences and one stone-cold classic, the duds being Die Hard which is basically an action game that looks as ugly as cat sick and controls like Bubsy 3d, and the hilariously off the wall crazy taxi inspired Die Hard With A Vengeance which may well have the most terrifying game over ever.

However, in between these slices of dog-eared bread is Die Hard 2 an on the rails shooter which is genuinely up there with the best ever made. It's slick, full of violence and easily contains more explosions and fire fights than all three movies combined. Plus the stock sound effects are so bad that they became instant icons.

Jules Gill hasn't written a bio just yet, but if they had... it would appear here.
