10 Best Video Games Of 2013 (So Far)

8. Far Cry: Blood Dragon

Far Cry Blood Dragon If you're even the most remote fan of cheesy 80s action films that are only available on VHS, you owe it to yourself to play Far Cry: Blood Dragon, which is for my money easily the best game in the rather underwhelming franchise. Blood Dragon is a brilliantly self-aware spoof of the above genre of movies, taking place in a tongue-in-cheek "future" of 2007, where we play Sergeant Rex Power Colt, with a voice provided by 80s action icon Michael Biehn himself. With its striking neon visual style, clever references to genre movies and intentionally terrible voice acting, this is one game that will leave nostalgic action movie fans in a state of utter delight. Hell, the game even goes to the lengths of occasionally displaying VHS artifacts and tracking lines across the screen to help with the immersion. Simply, this is one game you're either going to love or hate, and if you're anything like me, you absolutely loved it.
