7. The Binding Of Isaac

From an outside perspective you would be forgiven for thinking that The Binding of Isaac is likely a short affair. After all, most indie games are normally much smaller in scale than their triple A counterparts due to the smaller development teams.

But The Binding of Isaac isn't an experience that you can just blast through and get finished in a few hours. Even beating the story once will take several playthroughs, building your skills and knowledge to survive its many levels. Even if you can master all that, you'll be relying heavily on good fortune to make it through the waves upon waves of grotesque enemies.

Think you've finished the game? Not quite. There are 13 unique endings, 10 of which feature unique bosses. Past this there is also a range of different playable characters to experiment and mess around with to keep you coming back for more and more. With each playthrough being completely random, you'll never know what to expect.

You can pick up The Binding of Isaac up for around £11 on Steam, which is definitely a fair price for just how much content is packed into the Roguelike.
