3. World Of Warcraft
World of Warcraft is without the doubt the most well-known MMORPG on the market, first releasing back in 2004. Since then the game has seen seven expansions with the eighth, Shadowlands, set to release later this year.
When it comes to content, World of Warcraft really does have most games beat. Not only do you have sixteen years of expansion stories to work through, there are also 14 different playable races and 12 different classes to experiment with. There are quests, dungeons, raids, pet battles, achievements, mounts and toy to collect, role playing and so much more to keep you occupied.
You really will struggle to run out of things to do when playing World of Warcraft. That's part of the reason why it has been able to stay alive for nearly two decades now; there's always another zone to explore, another raid to complete or another mount that you just have to grind for.
It would be higher on the list, but for some people the gameplay that focuses around grinding loot and XP is just not fun, so it isn't for everyone.
