Stardew Valley is easily one of the greatest farming simulators to ever release, and earns even more credit due to the fact that everything was designed by just one man. The graphics, the music, the coding, it was just one guy! It's a true indie game.

Stardew Valley sees you inherit your grandad's farm and moving to, you guessed it, Stardew Valley. The main 'objective' is to build up the farm, but you can also help the community, socialise, go dungeoneering, raise a family, collect artefacts, and so much more.

While there is a limited amount of timelined events, even once you get past all of these you can continue to play and upgrade your farm and do other miscellaneous tasks. You can even remarry if you want to explore a different romance story. Technically you could even marry everyone if you have the patience to go through all the dates and divorces!

There are even different farm types to try out, as well as a multiplayer mode that can be played where you either share funds or have your own funds per person. For such a simple concept, Stardew Valley is able to pack an impressive amount of content into the game.
