10 Best World War 2 Video Games Of All time

7. Sniper Elite 4

Battlefield 1942
Rebellion

Despite wavering a little bit in terms of quality with Sniper Elite 3, the fourth game in the long-underrated stealth series brought the franchise back with a bang.

Letting players stealthily explore an expansive series of open world maps and take out targets however they wanted, the sequel was a marked improvement on a pure mechanical level over its predecessor.

Sneaking around and nabbing takedowns felt better than ever, while the balance between creating a sniping system that was complex and deep enough to sustain a whole game - while remaining accessible enough to still let players pull off sick kills - being pretty much perfect.

Oh, and the gory glory kills were back in full effect too, letting you explode Hitler's single testicle in super slow motion.

Brilliant.
