Release: October 2013Month Offered: April 2015 (360), July 2015 (One) At the time of its release on the Xbox One, Black Flag was one of the best looking games on the system. The immense open-world, vast sea and dense jungles were truly able to shine on next-gen, and for better or worse, you'll hear fans say this is an amazing pirate game, but it's a bad Assassin's Creed game. Be that as it may, it was a game that had a lot of gameplay value and had no problem reeling people in. Hell, even if you don't care about the story, you can go into it solely for the experience of being a pirate and upgrading your ship to pillage anyone you come across. Ubisoft really did miss a trick by not including naval battles in the competitive multiplayer though. This was also the first game fans were given away on both the Xbox 360 and the Xbox One. Truly, it was the first big AAA game fans received on their new machines, and aside from maybe a few others is still one of the only big AAA titles fans have received on the Xbox One to date with the Games With Gold program.
