10 Best Xbox Series X Games (So Far)

9. Rocket League

Forza Horizon
Epic Games

With its fasted paced vehicular football action, Rocket League has been a staple in competitive multiplayer games since its inception back in 2015. It’s still a major eSport event and has a massive global fanbase.

However, while this frantic car-based sports game is available on multiple platforms, with PlayStation 5 owners getting their own optimised version of the game, Xbox Series X and S owners are getting the best version of the game on console thanks to two different game modes to choose from.

Whereas PlayStation 5 owners are limited to one output mode which renders the game at a still impressive 4K resolution at 120fps. However, this does come at the cost of there being no HDR.

Xbox Series X owners, however, have the option between a Performance and Quality mode, both of which support HDR. In Performance mode, the game will hit a solid 120fps, but will render at a resolution just shy of native 4K. Playing in Quality mode, however, will run the game at full 4K at 60fps.

Series S owners are likewise given a similar choice; however, both modes are limited to 1080p.
